“We haven't been to the Three Horseshoes for about 10...”

written by Ms Ramsey on 09/05/2008

Good Points
Lovely, rural location, big, safe beer garden...polite, friendly staff, (we were greeted on arrival), good facilities to keep children amused but....take plenty of money, eg. entry to the play barn is £3.00/ £3.50 & they've got little sweet machines children can operate themselves, however, I think 20p for 5 "Minstrels" or 6 jelly beans is a bit steep!

Bad Points
Limited, boring, overpriced menu, eg. basic chicken, chips & some limp salad £7.70, a 10oz( ?) rump steak £10.95, 4 chicken nuggets, chips & mushy, baked beans £3.70....a half pint glass of coke $1.50!

General Comments
We haven't been to the Three Horseshoes for about 10 years & remembering it from the 70's we thought we'd take a trip down memory lane.....sadly, it's looking very "tired" & could do with some refurbishing! There are quite a few interesting pictures on the walls, but they're covered in grease spots/dust or....something? All in all, a disappointing experience!
