“I first owned a Motorola HS-810 and was fairly happy...”

written by Jacques Island on 24/07/2005

Good Points
Excellent mount over the ear (doesn't flop around), even when turning one's head abruptly. And, good quality sound in both directions.

Bad Points
Bulky to pocket, and bad color (jet black) for many people unless one likes to accent the fact that one is wearing a headset. Why can't Jabra offer this in other colors too? like white/beige, or at least all light gray?

General Comments
I first owned a Motorola HS-810 and was fairly happy with it, except that it never felt securely in place over the ear and flopped around too much. The BT 250v is steadfast on. But the provided belt clip is next to worthless, as is the HS-810's belt pouch. Both get flicked off readily, so carry in your pocket. I lost the BT 250v on the second day of use, despite frequent checks to see that it was still in its clip. (Hopefully someone will soon sell an after-market belt pouch that works). I have to say that I miss the HS-810's swivel boom mike that activated the system, but the BT 250v's answer button works well, but the unit needs about three seconds to come to life. If not over the ear when a call comes in, first push the answer button and then place it on the ear. It'll come to life at about the same time as you're ready to talk.
