“Nice car, OK service. Reading this will save you money!”

We rented a car for 2 weeks, the car was clean and gave us no issues. When we rented it, we did our own inspection of the car and wrote down EVERY LITTLE MARK we found on the paper. Their office made a photocopy of this paper. It is CRITICAL that you do the same... When we brought the car back we requested a receipt showing no damage before leaving the rental lot, this is also CRITICAL. At this request, the attitude of the employee immediately changed from friendly to aggressive. They tried to stick us with some damage until we pointed out that it was noted on our initial inspection. In the end it worked out, but they are much more nitpicky about damage than car rental companies in the US. We had to provide the copy of the initial inspection showing the damage we noted, they didn't have theirs during the inspection. Had we lost our copy we would have been paying for damage. Also get the gravel protection, we did, thankfully, because a rock broke our window in the third day we had the car.

In summary we got a good price on a nice car, but they did want to make us to pay for damage that we did not cause. I would rent from them again, but make sure to CYA.
