AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Booked a Ford Fiesta - or similar - and ended up with a ridiculous Smart instead. If that wasn't enough of an annoyance I was later billed 280 Euros for an alleged damage on the vehicle! Needless to say that the car was in pristine condition when it was returned, unfortunately outside their opening hours.
Upon calling the car hire company AVIS BUDGET I was informed that there was allegedly a scratch and a dent on the right front door and that they had pictures of the damage. Telling them that they'd better check their CCTV as I returned the car in perfect condition I was told they had no CCTV. How convenient!
I've rented many cars but I've never been ripped off like in this case. AVIS BUDGET no longer exist for me.
