General Comments
I bought the Yamaha XJ600S Diversion touring bike last June, as I was getting fed up of queueing in traffic. This has been a return to biking after a gap of about 15 years for me. It is the biggest bike I have ever owned, but I have found it easy to get on with and ride. I was very pleasantly surprised at the cost of insurance, which costs me less than £100 fully comprehensive (perhaps because I'm in my 50s!). I use the bike mainly for commuting to work; a distance of about 7 miles. The bike seems to return about 55 to the gallon, which I am more than happy with. It has served me well ever since. The only minor problem I have has have been the battery going flat; perhaps a new one is in order.
Overall, I have been very pleased with this bike, and I would recommend one to any new or returning biker.
