“Dishonest and shameful”

After agreeing a price and getting a quite ref I then proceeded to cancel my existing insurance .
When calling to make my payment MCE explained they had made a mistake and wanted to charge me over £200 more.
They admitted their mistake but refused to take responsibility. Unethical , immoral and if they play their recorded call back , probably illegal.
I am referring them to the ombudsman .
Pathetic behaviour from one of the so called big insurance companies - they are just a broker at the end of the day.
They have one star because 'none' wasn't an option....
