My wife had a case of food poisoning, and I has a topical infection on separate trips. Very helpful call line, and paid up promptly. In my wife's case they paid the hospital directly, which was very efficient.
I paid for my own treatment by credit card, as it was a fairly minor amount for out-patient treatment, I had to chase them up on return to UK, but dealt with my claim quickly from then.
