I have been duped more than once on what you have to offer. I have not made a claim once since I signed up with your guys and in my contract and on the website I am sold that a grace period in which no claims are made on prior conditions (ie non-acute)would be sufficient to allow them. Also, I have not benefited from a no-claim discount even though it has now been 3-4 years since I joined up.
Second, your website is explicit that psychiatric examination is allowed up to £1,000. All we needed was an assessment of Benjamin to see what is wrong with him. It is true that what triggered this was an EdPsych report claiming that he might suffer from ADHD but in fact we need an overall psychiatric assessment as all is not right with our son. You flatly refused on grounds that are not even explicit on the contract online and is probably buried in fine print somewhere.
So, conclusion, this health insurance is not living up to its billing in any way shape or form and, for the moment, all it is doing is costing me money.
I will be curious to see what happens when I do come in for a claim of my own. I suspect that you will find some other fine print that negates that as well.
