“Not even worth half a star!! Disgraceful!!! ”

written by Bird219 on 01/02/2016

Me, my siblings and my parents have been using boots opticians since me and my brothers were a lot younger. Everyone has used their sense and moved to Specsavers but me and my mum. The level of service and variety of products was good a few years back. I had an issue with boots so I moved to Specsavers last year.

For a reason in November 2015 I returned and had a eye and contact test in boots which was supposed to take 40 minutes overall. There is completely new staff in the new Malden boots opticians. I ended up in there nearly 3 hours!! For just them 2 test!
The test was prolonged, extensive, asking about ridiculous things and repetitive! The test took so long it seemed unprofessional like they didn't know what they were doing. They almost doubled my prescription in my glasses and halved my prescription in my contact lenses. That equals a massive difference in my sight via lenses vs glasses.
My glasses prescriptions new and perfectly clear, as I got them new in Specsavers. Yet my frames were loose, I asked for them to be tightened and they accused me off either standing or sitting on them as they appeared out of shape. Although they wasn't. They kept telling me if they break its my fault etc. Anyways after a disagreement of accusing me of harming my perfect condition glasses just because they wasn't from boots, I got them fixed in Specsavers the next day with no hassle.
Since the staff has changed in new Malden the customer service level is near none, they are rude! Rushy, have no time for you, no care, argumentative, very unprofessional!
Near paying they tried to force me into ordering new glasses and contacts to which I said no to both as the prescription changes seemed ridiculous and unneeded, they got rude again. I had a voucher for my glasses test which they accepted and we left quite shocked at the time it took for the tests and the level of bad customer service.

That's not the end!! A week later, Christmas Eve they rang me to say my voucher isn't valid as I had to buy new glasses for it to be valid. Fair enough the voucher said so, but I never read it like that, yet they happily read and accepted it on the day I was there. They just want to create issues! Once the payment has been made and they have accepted it, and I have left the transaction is over and it it's their own fault then. They can't just call and demand for money.
A couple of days ago I missed a call from them, to which a voicemail from a women from new Malden boots said, quite aggressively that I still owe them money and I've been put on their customer debt list. When I told my mum, she rang them up to ask as she's a customer there and wanted to know why.
They were rude, aggressive and blunt, no customer service skills at all! Unprofessional and rude!! My mum said we were going to write a comment to the head office and they said good and hung up.

Since the change over of staff, the attitude I received as a young lady was outrageous! I'm appalled by the rudeness, pettiness, arguementative, bluntness. I'm also disgusted by and level of customer service of lack of management, politeness, customer service, professionalism. They have lost both mine and my mums service as we have now moved to Specsavers.
Boots opticians has been argumentative, rude and unprofessional! A letter to head office will defiantly be sent out about a few members of staff due to their lack of customer service when accusing me, threatening me and being rude! Never using or contemplating using boots options again!!!
