“Lanzerote instead of Sharm”

written by Kaaren4080 on 21/01/2016

I was originally booked to go to Sharm and obviously it cancelled. Low Cost Holidays were marvellous rearranging my Xmas break. I had to wait for the airline to cancel their flights but once that was confirmed staff went out of their way to find me an alternative.
They found The Hotel Beatriz Costa and Spa in Costa Teguise, Lanzerote. Couldn't of asked for a better hotel or resort. Lovely hotel and staff, the food was fresh and plentiful, small resort not too built up. It was perfect. Made lots of friends there, not sure what the clientele is like during the summer holidays, but Christmas week, lots of couples and family groups. There were some small children and there appeared to be plenty of clubs running for them.
The only downside of the hotel was the pre-mix cocktails, they had a funny taste but the rest of the alcohol was fine. Not branded but tasted fine for me.
The poolside bar is best for lunch, all the food is replenished frequently, plenty of meat and fish. I liked it all.
The room was immaculate and spacious and all rooms have a balcony. The 5th floor has sea views.
The spa was ok, the water was a bit cool for me but I do feel the cold. Didn't have any treatments but the cost is comparable to anywhere.
Eating out in the town is cheap and there's a terrific atmosphere, taxis are numerous and only €4.
Lovely place....glad I didn't go to Sharm now! Came home with a lovely tan too!
