“Expensive Rubbish”

I am a landlord and have paid for two worcester bosch 34 CDi Classic boilers to be professionally installed in two properties. They have been regularly serviced. The cost of the two boilers was £2600.00. The first boiler failed after 14 months with an ignition problem and had to have a replacement part fitted which admittedly was repaired under warranty. However it took 3 days before an engineer arrived to repair it. The second boiler is now making a noise like an aeroplane taking off and is only two and a half years old. I have yet to have it repaired but will consider a small claims action against Worcester Bosch for supplying boilers not fit for purpose. I would avoid them at all costs. You are better off buying a £650-00 boiler as they are just as reliable (or unreliable) as a WB and you can buy two for the price of a WB boiler.

The previous boiler it replaced was bought at Wickes and was a third of the price and lasted 10 years with no replacement parts. I have heard of some heating engineers recommending WB boilers but I believe they are being swayed by the WHICH report (hang your head in shame) and WB advertising. Trust me they're not woth it.
