I ordered a sideboard from this store on 3rd January. Was contacted a couple of days later with a delivery date of 18th January. Received an e Mail on Friday 15th confirming delivery time slot. However on Sunday 17th January received a voice mail message from Dunelm customer service ( and I use the term loosely) stating that my order was cancelled due to it being out of stock and discontinued!!! So it had taken 2 weeks of them having my money to realise this fact? Tried to contact them on 3 separate phone calls only to receive the usual reply "all our agents are busy" - yeah busy cancelling confirmed orders!! The final insult was a text informing me that my refund would take 5 working days ( gets better and better)
I am appalled at the complete lack of regard for customers shown by this company. I am probably not the only one who will have been treated this shabbily by Dunelm and I would urge people to vote with their feet!!
Have they not heard of stock control? Have they not heard of customer service? Obviously not but they have heard of keeping customer money for 2 weeks before conveniently remembering what stock they have available!!
Avoid them at all costs - spend your money with a company who deserves your custom!
