“Terrible Service”

My experience with Barclay's Business banking has been nothing but awful. From months long mandate change, to rude staff member in the branch who claimed to have rung in advance before a meeting but didn't, then asking me to go into the branch with my ID three times because they didn't register it properly. 

Cheques take weeks to go through and staff clearly haven't been briefed on how to handle foreign cheques- sometimes telling me they could' take them. 

Their online banking statement uses reference codes which make it impossible to know what your statement means. Then when you ring up it seems to take at least 20 mins to be answered whatever time of day. 

The staff then don't seem to be able to access even basic info about your transactions and then say you'll be rung back in a week - I never was. 

Maybe they look after big businesses better but I cannot understand how they are a major bank. Would seriously recommend not using them for business.

I'm currently moving banks (which is of course taking forever).
