Martin & Co. Agency to avoid

This agency appeared to be helpful and pleasant when we first viewed our property with their staff, soon it became clear that this was all a facade as we neared the move in date.
Their perspective towards the client changes the moment you hand in your deposit to secure the property. Please save yourself by never using this agent.
After initial viewing of the property in south Wimbledon we decided to put down an offer only if few things were taken care of by 20th December 2015 i.e. move in date giving them 3 weeks to clean the property and fix other stuff to which they agree . So we put down initial deposit of required to secure the deal.
On final viewing on 16th December we were 10 mins late and the treatment we got was appalling. I have never dealt with a company that allows its employees to treat potential customer so appallingly and speak to them so rudely. Sending rude text messages, threatening you can’t do anything when inquired about we would like to speak to someone higher in command. His words: he is the sole owner and manager (which we found out not to be true later as manager was away in South Africa). We felt cornered as we trusted these people, moreover we had to vacate the property we were living in currently so he understood the desperation from our end to move on 20th Dec, taking the advantage of our situation he took us on a ride and made us wait outside his office 1 hour 20 mins for us to see the property.
Upon arriving we could see the inadequacy and mismanagement on their behalf. Cleaning wasn’t done properly and when questioned did not get any straight answers but was promised that it will be done once you move in and also length of contract was supposed to be 18 month and the one handed in was for 12 month as it suited their interest.
There were a few other incidents advanced by their staff which was highly unprofessional and aggressive. So we decided to call off the deal considering if this is how we are being treated at the beginning imagine the nightmare we would have to go through for the next 12 months .
In the mean time we were able to contact the boss in South Africa who seemed polite and professional at first but turns out to be the same in the end and denied any wrong doing and took no responsibility for his staff’s action. Refused to return the deposit and blamed us in return.
Our plans of having a Christmas at new place were ruined thanks to them and I was near the verge of homelessness because of their incompetence and attitude.
The rudeness I've experienced from the Martin & Co staff is shocking and disgusting. Please do not use them despite their massive advertising budget and outlandish claims of being the best it’s all False and misleading !
