The sales assistant tried hard to sell us an upgrade but I was having none of it (due to previous bad experiences with car hire). In the end he gave us the upgrade for free (whehter it was because they didn't have our size car available or he was just being nice, I don't know). It was 2 days before Christmas and he also gave our two kids a selection box each.
Another assistant helped us to take our luggage to the car which was great. However, he didn't check the car for pre-existing damage. I thought this was standard practice...
All in all good service
