“With its features, this Nokia 6510 mobile phone is...”

Written on: 06/10/2002 by NineNineNine.

Good Points
Small and light, GPRS works well with Palm, Pressing headset button for a couple of seconds activates cool voice commands, counts bytes for each GPRS connection and cumulatively, many phone numbers can be matched with a single name.

Bad Points
Monochrome, ordinary looks especially in dark blue, single level bookmarks cannot be placed in folders.

General Comments
With its features, this Nokia 6510 mobile phone is better than my previous Nokia 6150, 8210 and 8250. Looks are always subjective but to me, it's not a great looker especially in dark blue. Small and light, it sits in my shirt pocket most of the day. GPRS is great and works well with the Palm 515 I have. Using the Palm 515 enables me to get colour rather than using the monochrome screen. Interestingly, the Palm recognised the 6510 infrared with the 8250 settings saving set-up time for the new phone.
