Good Points
Very secure. The design of the site isn't bad but could certainly be better. The number of services available online are good.
Bad Points
A little too secure. Frequently it will lock up and you will receive a message saying that you are being sent an email with a code you must retrieve and plug into your page to get up and running again. Security is fine until it starts taking over the experience and getting in the way. The application process was horrible. You get information in at least three different mailings (snail mail) and you need bits from each mailing to get the account activated. Then after that I still had to call because some other glitch knocked me off. Frustrating would be a kind description of that process.
General Comments
I am amazed at the apparent lack of thought that seems to go into some of the banking sites. I have used Bank of America and it is by far the best. Important perks to me are setting bill payments when you want them delivered rather than sent. It also doesn't seem that it would be much of a stretch to show your current ledger balance AND your balance minus whatever disbursements are scheduled. For many of us these are important bits of information that make a difference day-to-day. There really is a great deal that could be offered with online banking that isn't now. A little imagination could go a long way towards improving the experience. Before it's all over there will only be the quick and the dead. Today's kids will look at brick and mortar banking like we look at steam locomotives. They're something you get a kick out of seeing in a museum but you wouldn't want to depend on it for transportation. After trying several, Bank of America is top gun for now.
