I judge the value of a commercial company on factors including courteous, speedy and reliable service; quality and range of products and competitive pricing. On all of these criteria, Spex4Less is top notch.
For me, the other vital factor is how a company behaves when something occasionally goes wrong – and it will with glasses, however well-made, because they are intrinsically fragile items of kit.
I have been a customer of Spex for some years. On each occasion (except once), when something has gone awry, Spex have speedily repaired or replaced the frame free of charge and returned my glasses at their expense to my home in France. The exception was when I accidentally trod on my new glasses, completely destroying the frame. Spex supplied a replacement (expensive titanium) frame at half-price – given that the damage was entirely down to me, I thought that gesture was very generous and much appreciated. Would that I could be as enthusiastic about customer services in my French homeland.
