“False promises ”

I contacted this company on Sat 21st Nov to order a pool table which I required to be delivered no later than Sat 5th Dec. Unfortunately they could not supply the table I wanted due to manufacturing times. They offered me 3 alternatives which were already manufactured and in stock and could therefore be delivered in time. Although not what I wanted as we had already arranged a party for the 5th I ordered one of the alternatives. I received an immediate order confirmation but when I had received no contact regarding delivery by Tues 1st I decided to chase it up. I spoke to somebody Tues am but they needed to get a date from the depot and PROMISED me a call back before the close of business that day. Having heard bothing by 5.30pm I rang again and spoke to the person I originally ordered with. Full of apologies as the depot was now closed and he remembered how the table was needed for Sat he PROMISED to call me first thing Weds with the date. No call on Weds at all so rang them again Thurs 3rd 10.30am. They couldn't understand why nobody called me back on Weds but needed to check with the depot and call me back. I explained this would be the THIRD PROMISE of a call back and if I had to call again it would be to cancel the order. Please sir just give me 2 minutes and i'll call you straight back. I waited 2 hours and then rang to cancel. Apparantley its not their fault they are only sales and can't get an answer from the depot. I pointed out that it was 100% thir fault that they hadn't called back when PROMISED 4 times and was told they had put over 30 calls into their own depot and couldn't get an answer. I demanded a refund which he couldn't do until he had confirmed with the depot that the table wasn't already in transit!! This time he did ring back within 5 minutes to say they couldn't deliver until Monday and I wouldn't get one anywhere else before Xmas. If I had believed for one minute that it would be delivered on Monday I would have accepted it as they have waisted 12 of the 14 days I had to get a table already so am now resigned to the fact I won't have a table for Sat 5th. After all broken PROMISES I now dont trust them to deliver before xmas. I will be adding another review if there is any delay in receiving my refund which I am assured has been put through.
