Should have realised from day one there would be problems as fitters started at 10.30 am and finished for the day at 2.40 p.m. This was just a taster for us, it got worse, some days did not bother to turn up!!! Work tops cut too short so an extra piece was nailed on. End panel cut too short, fitter said " I can fill gap in ". Backs of cupboards did not fit, drawers dropped out of place, As fitters were not there every day I have had to ring " customer care " ( !!!! ) They decided to fit ceiling panels after fitting floor units, therefore had to stand on newly fitteed work tops!! Plinths did not fit so fitter said " I can cut some more out of spare wood but the grain would be different, does it matter ? " NOW THE ELECTRICS...... For over a month there has been BIG problems, kitchen electrics banging off, eventually affecting rest of house, trying to contact anyone who didn't blame ourselves was initially impossible, because WICKES did not fit our electric board they blamed that, even a girl at " customer care " said " It must be your elec box " I asked how she could be sure as she was sitting in an office somewhere many miles from my Electric box ? " Management" have been involved, but soooooo slow,Electricians finally relented and apologised, yes it was there fault, eventually after a month fixed the problem but still waiting for finishing touches, Always blaming each other for not passing messages on etc. I ring them constantly to finish work," Management" said he is doing all he can for us, ... well, not good enough, I feel they hope I will get so fed up I will give up, but they have my £ 9,000, They do not care!! AVOID WICKES AT ALL COSTS. Our DREAM Kitchen has been a NIGHTMARE, We were looking foreward to being smart for September, It is almost December, It's been HELL !!!
