I've been using GoldCar for many years now, can't understand why others have bad experience. My wife and I travel 6-7 times a year to Spain (Malaga and Alicante Airports) as well as Faro - holiday-aholic's best way to describe us.
For the first time in October I was caught speed on a camera returning to Malaga airport. GoldCar debited my card (as is in their T's&C's), no issue with that, then got a notice from the Spanish Police - oh dear - panic! Once that panic was over I looked at the notice again and was able to interpret enough of it to go to the website to pay the fine. A little unclear on the on-screen instructions but finally see a Union Jack to click on. It all became clearer what to do then. Slight hic-up on the formatting of the information I needed to entre, but a quick call to the Spanish Police and was able to sort out where I was going wrong. Very clear English speaker helped me through the process - fine paid, 50% discount included. I've always found GoldCar to be fair and friendly when I'm friendly with the desk staff - and they ALWAYS help. My advice - chill out and be polite, it cost nothing and makes that whole experience much more enjoyable. You are on holiday after all!
