General Comments
The West Highland White Terrier is our first dog...and it's the only breed I'll ever consider. She's the perfect size. She's affectionate...if there's a lap available she's on it...loves to sleep with my son. Not a "yappy" type of terrier that barks a lot...we hardly hear from her. But when we do...we know she's warning us, and is pretty accurate with her alerts. Some people say they get a lot of skin irritations....we've been lucky...she hasn't had any in the 7 years we've had her. Was very easy to train...house breaking and tricks...I think she trained us. When she gets bursts of energy she loves to run in circles and then settles down. Extremely entertaining...we don't know what we'd do without her.
