“Going downhill fast!”

I used to recommend Tesco grocery home delivery service. Usually very good, & on the odd occasion mistakes were made, customer service had been excellent.

Unfortunately this seems to have changed dramatically in the last few months. Rude store manager/customer liaison (I'm referring to the Yeovil branch)and the customer service staff disinterested and with a similar attitude.

I have recently found out from a delivery driver, that the "pickers" are all in competition - the managers give out a prize each month to the person that can pick customer items in the quickest time - therefore speed over quality.

Several occasions I have items missing (although still on the list), received poor quality/damaged items and even items that are out of date and not highlighted on the list.

Tesco really need to improve their customer service and attitude towards their customers rather than treating them as an inconvenience with a "don't care" attitude. The workers in store need to realise that their continued poor service will mean loss of customers and ultimately loss of jobs.

My advice if you want to use Tesco - check that every item is there before the driver leaves & check for quality & expiry date (don't rely on the list) as there'll be little comeback later.

Get your house in order Tesco!
