After having a problem with a blocked toilet, I called Tesco home insurance. A 'toilet engineer' arrived. And left without clearing the bloackage. She said she would return the following day, but didn't as Tesco had cancelled the call out without telling me. After phoning to speak to their hard of thinking operators, I was told I needed to have a slight leak repaired first, despite there being raw sawage coming out of the pipe above ground level. REALLY?! I contacted them the next day saying I wanted a engineer, with the right equipment that day. Tesco told me, yes. No problem, they'll be there by midday. They weren't. Eventually the problem was sorted. After telling Tesco my policy would not be continued by phone and letter, they have continued to take my money and now want £30 to terminate the policy!! DO NOT USE TESCO INSURANCE, IT IS CHEAP BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS SO APPALLING.
