“Dodgy Sales Practices”

Had used Laithwaites a few times before but stopped because I simply wasn't getting through the wine.

Since then get regular cold calls from them. And I always tell them that I'm not interested.

However, it happened again a little while ago. Once again I told them that I wasn't interested but she was insistent saying that they had a great offer and promising that I wouldn't receive any wine unless I asked for it. So as the 'celler' stock was a little low I gave in based on that promise.

What do I find today when I arrive home from work - a box of wine on the doorstep. No prior communication at all, wasn't told it was coming, wasn't asked whether I wanted it. Just delivered and £98 charged to my credit card without my permission.

Shoddy company, sharp practices, lying salespeople.
