I received a mail flyer, called, and was not satisfied with the rate quoted. I asked to be deleted and was told it would take a month for that to go through.
About 3 weeks later another flyer came in and I decided to try the online process. I was quoted $17,000 loan at 4.99% for 3 years. Great. I realized that after their fee, I actually wanted $18,000. I called to try and change that. It couldn't be changed without a second pull which would affect my credit unless I waited an additional 21 days. I decided to just go with the $17,000.
I had to send my last 2 paystubs....and they were very specific....I accidentally sent the 2 before my last and had to resend. They also wanted my W-2. I used disability for some of my income, so they needed my VA letter, and a bank statement showing the income. I also had to send either a 1099 or my 1040 tax papers. Getting all the exact paperwork they needed in was painful. It took 3 tries to get right and the callback didn't happen from their end.
All in all, the loan did go through at the quoted rate, and it only took about 4 days to receive the money.
However, they asked for a lot of documented information, customer service was hit or miss depending on which time I called, and I also never really received an email or acceptance letter. I had to sign in online with after the money arrived in my account to find the info. I found this shady. I took screenshots as evidence in case something changes, but I don't have official documentation either by email or snail mail.
