“Cancelling a Policy early”

I had LV Home Insurance on a property I sold after 9 months of the Annual Policy.
Needless to say they offered NO rebate on the 3 months remaining. Wonder what would have happened if I'd asked them for 3 months free after the Policy ended.
Very poor money grabbing practice. I'll be taking my business elsewhere on my new home.
