“Magnolia hotel review”

Hotel reception and lounge areas spacious and airy. All staff very helpful especially when we had some hiccups. Room changed without a problem, very clean and spacious as we changed to a chalet. Pity about the smell in the bathroom, once reported we realised they couldn't rectified the situation but we did manage. Kitchenette was full of all the equipment and more that we needed. Maid service was second to none and they came daily which was great.
The main problems were in the restaurant where it seemed they had serious staffing problems affecting the quality of the food and long delays for the meals. We also found the menu repetitive and as we were on half board this was an issue they should resolve. We suggested they put some Portugese dishes on the menu and chicken to be included. We had read about the monotonous menu on Trip Advisor but didn't think it was that bad.
More information about its isolation would be helpful as it took 1hour along a busy road to get to the beach and taxis were expensive.
