I ordered laminate worktops over the phone from Savoy Timber, everything going perfectly smoothly until payment using sage pay (never had a problem with this before) The person told me my address didn't match, despite me e-mailing them a photo of the address on the credit card statement, I've lived here for 18 years and also calling my credit company. The suggestion of paying by direct bank transfer was not an alternative and mentioning it again and again doesn't make it an alternative. There was no way I was going to risk spending money without consumer credit act coverage. It's included on credit card transactions but never on bank transfers.
The payment only went through when I used my initiative and used paypal on their website. Why did none of the many members of staff not suggest this method of payment? I'm still frustrated with my dealings with this company that they wasted two hours of my time and were completely unsympathetic.
Eventually a member of staff said that the company would include a tube of colorfill due to the inconvenience then a manager called me back to say she would not include it. Shocking customer service decision hence this review.
