“Quality items, terrible customer service”

We needed a new shower as ours leaked (we had patched it up which gave us a couple of extra years life out of it!) so contacted The Bathstore and went to see what they could do. The showroom was lovely and we received excellent service while they were selling to us, it was only once they had the order that the problems started.

Delivery was not a problem as my wife just happened to be at home when the delivery was arranged for.

Once the fitter had started fitting however it turned out that we had different colour panels (ordered two and received two very different colours). So we had to wait for another delivery.

Then we discovered that although we had a shower cubicle delivered we had no doors and two side panels!! So we had to wait for another delivery.

Lots of time wasted and loads of phone calls as the showroom cannot help and the installation team hardly ever answer the phone and even if you leave a message it gets ignored.

Then we had the saga over the plasterboard which wasn't used and even though we were told by email that any not used would be credited to us when we queried why this had not been done we were told there must have been a misunderstanding. Not on our part there wasn't.

We did get an envelope with a cheque in a week later (no letter or note with it) however.

Then there is the guarantee that we should have (5 years worksmanship and 10 years parts). The job was completed in early July yet we still have not had the final paperwork. Last time I queried I was given a ridiculous story that they had run out of the paperwork (!!) but we have still not received it as I write this (25th September)

In short the product is good (we love our new shower) but service as abysmmal.
