Good Points
Very reliable starts very easy even in cold weather.
Good on fuel.
Comfortable seat.
Good acceleration.
Bad Points
Not the nicest looking scooter.
Speedometer is inaccurate (however this is common with most 50cc scooters)
Lights are bright but don't allow the rider to see very far.
The carb seems to get blocked with dirt a lot, reducing the power, not sure whether this is common with bikes.
Poor grip in wet conditions.
General Comments
I am very happy with my Peugeot trekker, or TKR as it is sometimes known.
i was surprised, after not riding it for about a week, for it to start first time in -2 temperature conditions.
i have never had any electrical problems, the carburetor has had to be cleaned out once already (didn't cost because still under warranty) and I think it may need doing again as some power is noticeably lost on hills.
The speed is 50-55mph indicated however the real speed is about 40-45mph (tested on two separate occasions with two different cars) still thats fast enough on a small moped.
I am 67 KG and can get 35mph up an average sized hill
The looks aren't great, I have the WRC version so that does add certain appeal.
Under seat storage is fine, cannot fit full faced helmet (as I once discovered, snapping part the surrounding plastic in the process of attempting to close the seat with my helmet underneath) however not many scooters can.
In conclusion the trekker is not better or worse, I think, than a speedfight, ludix, etc. they all have the same engine.
