“Utter Dissatisfaction, Don't Buy a Product from Wowcher!”

Purchased a Fitness Bracelet via Wowcher. It arrived and I followed the instructions to download the supporting App to my mobile. The App did not work, despite several attempts and confirming my phone's compatibility. Contacted Wowcher to return the item and obtain a refund. Several stalling "you'll hear in 2 days", "you'll hear in 5 days" emails later, I was finally advised my problem had been passed to the supplier. I heard nothing, so tracked them down myself! Finally though I was on the road to refund as their Customer Support lady was nice and efficient and advised me how to return the item to them, which I did at a personal cost of £3.90. They confirm receipt of my item, and advised I would hear the result of my 'claim' within 7 days. Guess what, nothing! So I contacted them twice more only to be told that they had advised Wowcher to refund me the value of the voucher itself, but no delivery costs, either the original ones or mine to return it, as they item wasn't faulty. I am furious. If an item needs an App to support it and give you access to the data it supposedly collects, it is rendered unfit for purpose if that App does not work. I am in the process of 'arguing' my point with the supplier but, in the meantime, Wowcher are back on their delaying game by telling me they haven't received any instruction from the supplier to issue a refund, and I should forward any email I may have to support that claim, but that they will happily apply a Wowcher credit to my account, to clear the matter up today!! I am utterly dissatisfied with both companies, and cannot accept that I am expected to be nearly £8 out of pocket for an item that was not fit for purpose. And, whilst the supplier has told me that they will refund me for the product itself, I am yet to get that money from Wowcher, and I am 6 weeks down the line already. This has left a very bitter taste in my mouth, so please, please don't risk buying a product from them, as it is not a happy experience if it needs to be returned.
