“CURRYS AFTER SALES SERVICE A DISGRACE”

I am just about to take a brand new washing machine to the dump. It was bought from Currys in June.It has never been fit for purpose and neither Currys or Knowhow are prepared to repair free of charge or replace the machine. Couldn't get the temperature to go above 30 degrees & spin speed to go above 600 so returned to Currys who referred me to Knowhow. They sent out an engineer who advised the machine needed 5 new parts as it looked as if something really heavy had been dropped on the top of it.
Knowhow called to advise they were not repairing the machine as it had been damaged in transit somewhere along the line and to go back to Currys.
They said I would have to prove the machine was not damaged in transit from shop to the house which was 10 mins along the road and less than 10 yards from car to the house so highly unlikely all that damage was caused there. The sales manager also had no proof that the machine wasn't damaged before it left the shop. An assistant from the shop floor actually took it out to the car but they are not prepared to do anything. This verifies that Currys after sales service is deplorable and as for Knowhow,they know damn all about customer service.
However I now know I will never buy another appliance from Currys and I am warning my friends and family to be careful.Just remember bad news travels fast as I can see from all the other reviews on this page.
