I had difficulty getting anywhere with my complaint to 0500 40 50 60 about not being able to purchase on-line with my Sainsbury Bank Mastercard. All went well until I reached payment stage when I had to quote details of my 3D Secure cover. I think I had lost my record of username and password so I wanted to know how to access these details or change them. I followed the instructions given on phone but could not get to any web page allowing access. I reached the panel which seemed to permit this but it turned out to be about a change to my Sainsbury on-line Bank details and not to my 3D Secure details. I then asked on-line for a detailed procedure (excluding sensitive data) and got a reply to the effect that this could not be provided because I had not made the request from a secure site. Whay nonsense!! No-one seems to care about an eighty year old trying to use modern technology.
Incidentally, my other Mastercard, from my local bank, including the 3D Secure feature, works perfectly so it would seem I shall just have to close down my Sainsbury Mastercard
