I went to Onkar Indian Restaurant to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and welcoming - the open fire was a nice touch. They offer a good choice of starters. We tried the Tandoori mixed grill, a tasty selection of marinated chicken and lamb cutlets cooked in a clay oven, my wife chose the Prawn Paratha which was very good. For our main course we decided to try a chef's special and a Chicken jalfrezi, both were accompanied by naan and rice. The house wines are reasonably priced, we opted for an Australian Chardonnay which cost slightly more. For dessert we ordered the Pistachio Indian 'Kulfi' ice creams and were pleased with our choice. The cost of the meal was reasonable and the young staff were very helpful. I would certainly reccomend this restaurant.
