General accident have to be the worst. Insurer on the market. No phone support after the first month, and emails are replied to within weeks rather than days. I had been insured with general accident for just over a year, I purchased a new vehicle and informed general accident about the change and they gave me the new premium quote of £120 a month (I was 19) which seemed fair so I continued the policy. I've now received an email (5months later) explaining that they made a mistake in the quote and actually the premiums should be 210 a month and that I hadn't been insured for the previous 5 months. I argued that I should not have to pay the extra as I agreed to the quote they gave me and it was their mistake, I was told directly 'if you're not happy with the quote, leave us'. They didn't even apologise for the mistake, leaving me out of pocket and more scarily, If I would have had to claim in the time, I wouldn't have had any insurance. Every time I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was refused. All I wanted was to pay the premium I had agreed, and for their mistake, I was left with £90 a month more bills. Please don't use this company!!
