Was originally impressed with the salesman and the product. At time of purchase was given a fitting date about 3 weeks later, but was asked to ensure all furniture and existing carpets removed before fitting - or incur additional costs! As the job involved 4 bedrooms, stairs and landing this was quite a task. 2 days before due date, spent the entire day emptying wardrobes etc and moving all beds, clothes and furniture downstairs - and took up and skipped the old carpets in readiness.....
The next day Carpetright phoned to say the carpet had not arrived, so they were cancelling fitting and the next available fitting slot was a week later. A real problem for us now that we couldn't access most of the downstairs as it was now full of bedroom furniture! - Anyway, less than happy we put up with it. The following Monday Carepetright phoned again to say that the carpet was still not ready and they couldn't offer a new date. I complained and was told the Manager would ring me on Tuesday to discuss.....Tuesday, came and went and by Wednesday afternoon still not the decency of the promised phone call... so went to the store.
Came away from the store without a solution and nothing better than a new date in 2 weeks time - totally unacceptable given the situation.
Have been promised that the manager will call tomorrow morning to discuss............. An opportunity for him to salvage the situation or make it worse? watch this space.
