General Comments
I picked up a Nokia 8310 as a free upgrade from my 8210 (which was 2 years trouble free). All I wanted was a small mobile phone that works well for basic use so I figured the 8310 would be as good - right ? WRONG. Whilst I haven't suffered the 'switch off' problems apparently common with this phone, friends and family constantly complain about line noise when they ring me, likening the noise to 'crackling' and 'a fax machine'.
I will probably switch back to my 8210 until my next 'free upgrade' and shop around, read reviews etc before taking up any offers!
I feel I have had to score this really low because reception should be the numero uno consideration with a phone shouldn't it?
