“Awful Service”

Tried to port a number to Vodafone from my old provider. Was told it would be done within 24 hours and to keep my phone off until after 24 hours to let it port. 

It wasn't done after this time so I called them, they said it would be done by 4pm the next day (another 24 hours). Still wasn't done. Phoned again. They said it would be done by 8pm. Still nothing, phoned again at 9pm to be told it would be done by midnight. Still not done by 8am so called to cancel my entire new contract. 

Also note that I had been without my phone number which is also used for business for five days (as I got the Vodafone phone on Saturday and it was now Wednesday!).

Phoned to check on Saturday (7 days after contract began) to see if it had been cancelled. It had not been. 

The guy on the phone was really helpful and actually told me they had been having problems porting numbers all week. Which was all well and good by why was I continuously lied to by five different people? 

If they had said it would take up to five days to port that would have been fine. My issue is that I was blatantly lied to.
