I bought a ticket to Australia since I had to go for my brothers funeral from smartfares. The agent got me this ticket did not warn me of the short wait for the connecting flight from L.A.. When I called the airline to confirm the flight I was told that the wait was not long enough.i called the agency and was told there was plenty of time . And if I had any concerns to buy insurance anyway I did not get any as agent took a long time to give me some. So that night started the journey to Australia and to my dismay was delayed on the tarmac on the domestic flight from Las Vegas to L.A.. So missed the international flight to Australia .
Also was not sure of what airline the flight was on either as the ticket seemed to have been bought in some bundle through two different airlines. Anyway had to get another flight through one of the airlines. The customer service of United airlines was very nice and got me a seat on a flight 24 hours later as that' was the earliest I could get.
I had to spend 24 hours sleeping on the lounge chairs in the airport had to make a few phone calls to say that I missed the flight and would be arriving in Australia the next day. Also had to get my new flight confirmed on Air New Zealand after 3.30 am when the flight agents started work.
Arrived in Australia stressed out and sick with some infection I cought hanging around the airport due to this incompetent agency. This was the worst experience I ever had will never buy any air tickets through them again.
