“Gave up, went to argos instead”

Having had a good experience with shutters being measured, my colleague decided to order a venetian blind for the office. Hillarys sent the "shutter measurer" who claimed he couldn't measure a window for a blind. They promised to send someone back. Meanwhile we paid a £300 deposit for the blind.

2 months later and multiple phone calls, no one called to make a measuring appointment. Bear in mind it takes all of 3 minutes to measure a single window. Even more phone calls and our complaint was raised to a level 2. We were promised a call back within 24 hours. No phone call. Called Hillarys back, told them that I could buy a blind for 1/6th of the price and fit it myself. Customer services said the guy could come measure in an hour.

Meanwhile looked at Argos on line. Our local store (3 minutes away) had a similar blind in stock for £41.99. We walked there bought it, and fitted it in less than the time I had spent on the phone to Hillarys that day.

Don't bother with the blinds, go to elsewhere and pay a handy man to fit instead.
