“Small Double Bunk”

We are a family of 4 living in a 2 bedroomed house struggling for space, we have a 5 year old girl and a 13 year old teenager who loves to have sleepovers with her friends and wanted a large bunk bed for her and her friends, we had looked into the possibility of single bunks to save space and some of the tripple sleeper bunks all of which looked good but not particularly strong or acceptable for my picky teenage daughter. After looking through all of the usual bed companies and some online sites like eBay I decided to do a more general search for large bunk beds online and came across Strictly Beds & Bunks where they had twin double bunks in all sizes and configurations. Never seen twin doubles before. Excellent and with approval from my eldest (and the wife) we took a chance and purchased a twin small double high bunk bed with mattresses. The bed and mattresses were delivered within 5 days which was just in time for my teens birthday. First impressions as we were putting the bed together, oh my god what have we bought. It was huge and literally filled the centre of their bedroom leaving just enough space to walk around the bed however when it was all finished and after buying another £100 worth of bedding it looks amazing. Both my daughters are well impressed and have really enjoyed sleeping in it. Only criticisms is there were 2 items missing which were 2 large screws that hold the posts to the side rails but after a quick visit to their parts website the items were sent next day free with no issues. Top marks from us (thanks), instructions can be a little hard to follow but using some good old common sense and a bit of DIY experience it should be easy for most people to fix. I can't believe the quality and strength of the bed compared to some of the other beds we looked at. They are definitely correct in saying they are designed for adults. Even I have been on the top bunk even though I'm a 22 stone bloke. We have since had several of my daughters friends over and all have commented on the bed and comfortably sleeps 4 teens happily for sleepovers. This bed definitely has our approval and is well worth the investment for anyone who has teens or needs beds for adults to sleep and wants to give them an excellent sized and very strong bed they they will enjoy. Note the high version that we have is best suited to a room where the ceiling is high. We live in an old terraced house so no issues there. You will need step ladders and about 30 minutes to make the top bed even when you are 6 foot 4 which is a laugh in itself. Money well spent and would definitely recommend this bed to anyone.
