It's my 4th day with BT Mobile and I must say the switch from my EE pay monthly to a sim only contract has been straight forward with no glitches and I got to maintain my number. Everything has been hassle free.
Unfortunately I did not know BT Mobile is piggy backing on EE network so I'm facing the same coverage problems I get when I'm at home. I have not noticed any changes in speed of browsing etc the major bonus is £20 for 20gb data as I get £5 off for being a BT phone customer and it's the cheapest sim only plan out there.
The other hugely disappointing thing is that you cannot use your personal hotspot or tethering and for me that is very very annoying!!!! To the extent that the personal hotspot has vanished from my iPhone 5s settings.
I know I only have a year's contract so I'm thinking about whether I'm happy to not have tethering for a year. Not that I use it often but having it there and knowing I can use it has been good.
As I understand BT is making a bid to buy out EE. hopefully it will get better as I know BT is brilliant at my home phone and broadband.
