I have visited the restaurant in Manchester a couple of times now, (mainly the Printworks and Spinningfields near Deansgate), and every time I go it reminds me of why I love it so much!
It's got a great atmosphere, and everyone's so relaxed. They are always in really modern buildings, and the tables are laid out like it's all one big table, so there's a real sense of community!
You are taken to a table, and given menus and asked if you want any drinks. A waiter/waitress then comes back and takes your order (you can say the names but they're all very hard to pronounce, so using the number system by the side of your dish is best). They then repeat your order back to you just to make sure it's right, and write your number on your place mat (which is made from recycled paper), then everyone's meal just arrives.
I really enjoy going to Wagamama (a tip: if you visit their website and register they have offers on at certain restaurants for free stuff, and all you have to do is print off the voucher! ..From a free beer to 2 for 1 on main meals). It's great value, and fun trying to learn how to eat with chopsticks (you don't have to, as you are provided with a fork and spoon), and most importantly the food is great! I recommend the Katsu Curry! It's gorgeous!
