Despite their advert stating they 're here for you' it's simply not the case only for themselves. Finished my personal loan payments this month with a final small payment to be made which I was looking forward to being better off each month. Noticed that they still took out the normal DD a payment over by £210! Rang to ask why and was told that is normal, they will still take the normal DD despite the balance as they cannot amend a DD. Really! In this technological age a bank cannot amend a DD it amazes me! I now have to wait over 2 weeks for a refund of the difference of MY money not theirs. It would be different if i was the one who owed them money, harrassed mercilessly I would imagine.
Nationwide has no regard for customers and will not be flexible at all, if computer says no then it's tough luck staff are unable to make decisions to help customers (or unwilling).
