In the event of a claim, they did start to handle it so I do not wish to criticise the legitimacy of the MCE business.
However, in terms of the interaction with customers they are the worst. A list is easier
Very long winded forced messages before you can speak to anyone
Scripted call handlers, couldnt deviate making it very tedious indeed
Team unable to tell me what details they had on me at renewal. Forced me to answer every question from scratch.
I had two bikes on cover. On selling one, I clearly asked them to remove the bike I had sold. I put this in writing clearly stating that I was keeping one bike and still required cover. Without me knowing, they actually cancelled my entire policy on both bikes. I was left without insurance without my knowledge for 3 months until the DVLA wrote to me.
I wrote several times to complain but never had a reply. On phoning several times, I was constantly on hold, and found it almost impossible to get anywhere.
Eventually they listened to the phone call and agreed a part refund. They never put this in writing. Three months later - and several emails (no reply) and several phone calls where they told me the refund was processed, I still have not received the refund. It is pathetic. I would never recommend this company.
