although power was still running through to the powered head on my 10 year old Miele Revolution, the connection began to work intermittantly. The original power-head was replaced 14 months ago on a regular service by Miele. Miele Customer Service told me it was now too expensive to repair & as the Revolution is no longer made I should now consider buying a new vacuum cleaner & offered to dispose of my old machine. I asked for the comdemned Revolution to be returned to me. Happily I switched it on and the power-head worked. So I no longer take the brush-head off the tube when I put it away - obviously a poor connection in the head that they couldn't be bothered to investigate as my machine is 10 years old. Low marks on customer care Miele, but I love my Revolution.
