“My husband and I went there for my birthday lunch...”

My husband and I went there for my birthday lunch yesterday, very busy but we were seated after about ten minutes. Our starters were dreadful, supposedly buffalo mozzarello was served with tomatoes in uneven, lobbed slabs and squid was more like a slimey fish finger. As we were eating a queue of people formed by our table and nobody made any attempt to seat them. It was very noisy and not at all pleasant to try to eat our meal. My husband complained to the manageress who said it was because they were under staffed. He made it clear that this was not our problem and we left the restaurant having told them we were not prepared to pay for what we had had so far. Very disapointing as we have always enjoyed Pizza Express at various locations in the past and used to be members of their Club.
