“Don't even think about it!”

For anyone considering flying with this airline, I have to warn you against it! This is the most unreliable airline I have ever flown with. Not only do they never stick to their timetable their staff is extremely rude and will not move a finger to help their customers! I had booked a weekend trip to Barcelona and had the misfortune to book my tickets with Vueling. I had to book the last flight to Barcelona as my work schedule didn't allow me to book an earlier one. Once I arrived at the airport I discovered that my flight, due to take off at 21 30 , was delayed, without any prior warning, to 00 20 am!!! I had a boarding pass so I attempted to go through security where I was stopped by security personnel as they had been instructed not to let passengers for this flight in, why you may ask, well...because apparently this is not the first or the second time this has happened, Vueling has a very regular record of delaying all of it's flights as well as cancelling them in the last minute. Their idea of customer service is to give out miserable vouchers for coffee....to passengers that have been stuck waiting at gatwick airport for over 4 hours! We eventually took off at 02 00 am! This was better then the alternative of course. Nevertheless I had already lost the first night of my three night weekend as well as the full price of my hotel booking! European Union Law states that if a flight is delayed for more then 3 hours and it is not due to a force major so to speak, the airline owes compensation to the passengers involved. I attempted numerous times to claim that compensation unsuccessfully. I called at my 2nd attempt a very rude man picked up and informed me that if I wanted compensation I had to write a complaint on their website, after which I explained that there is no particular place where I could do so as I had been on their website and couldn't find the complaint button he was talking about!! He then continued to be extremely rude...I will not bore you with the details but at the end of the day this almost ruined my weekend I had to spend over 4 hours at the airport and the cherry on top of the ice cream was when today I received a voucher for 10 Euros from vueling as a compensation for my troubles!!!! Don't even consider flying with them even for a second!!! The worst airline imaginable, and I spend 90 % of my time flying!
