Booked to go to calas de Mallorca on 22 July 2016 for 2 weeks and was told by salesman we would be staying at the chihuahuas hotel in the complejo complex , with a request for a sea view , we got the sea view but in a different sub standard hotel called the balmoral , phoned teletext on same day we arrived to be told to pay for upgrade at 14euro per night and they would look into it when we got back , couldn't afford this as on a budget , the advisor reviewed the recording of the booking and admitted we were told we would be staying at chihuahuas but wouldn't do anything about it , try explaining to a 9year old and a very disgruntled missus that we wouldn't be staying at the hotel with the nice pool that they had been looking at all week on the net and we had spent a years savings on , also couldn't use all the facilities in the other hotels ie restaurants which we had also been told , I asked the advisor to email me a transcript of the recording so I could take legal advice and he said he wasn't allowed to , under data protection , for gods sake it's my voice ! So he admitted they had told me the wrong information regarding the hotel and to make a complaint when I get back , I still require the recording to take this further but how can I get it?? If i had been told at the outset we would be definitely staying at the balmoral I wouldn't have booked the holiday simple as that I'd have gone elsewhere instead of wasting £2200, won't be using teletext again
